Day 1 | ROME

  • Check-in at the Village Flaminio.
  • 17.00 guided tour of Trastevere and the Tiber Island. The city is like a big nesting doll that hides a thousand stories, mysteries and tales. Starting from Ponte Fabricio you will discover the charm of the Tiber Island, a jewel of the river set in the temporal limbo of its banks. Continuing, you will arrive in one of the liveliest districts of the capital: Trastevere. In its charming alleys, home to craft shops, you can still perceive that air of authenticity that exudes stories of real life and which makes it the ideal place to immerse yourself in the Roman tradition. Among the main stops you will find the Basilica of San Crisogono and that of Santa Maria in Trastevere, in the homonymous square, together with other attractions.
  • Return to the village and overnight.

Distances
Via Flaminia Nuova, 821 (Village Flaminio) - Ponte Fabricio: 11 km

Day 2 | HOST

  • Breakfast.
  • Departure for Ostia by own means and free morning. A stop at the Necropolis of Porto is recommended, not far from the excavations of Ostia Antica, a complex of over 200 funerary buildings. Limit to the extreme south of a large burial ground, it is made up of tombs that are almost homogeneous in their structure. Another site not to be missed is that of the ancient imperial ports of Claudius and Trajan, as well as the nearby ship museum of Fiumicino, which holds one of the main collections of ancient Mediterranean boats.
  • Free lunch.
  • 5.30 visit of the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica. The historic city owes its name to the proximity of the Tiber river and the sea (the name derives from "ostium", literally "mouth"). Before the disastrous flood of 1557, in fact, the course of the river was considerably different and the proximity to the sea was reduced compared to today. The Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica is one of the largest in Italy, and offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in an atmosphere that takes you back in time. The baths of Neptune, the Roman Theater, the Temple of Rome and Augustus and the various Domus that surround the main street are just some of the remains of that civilization that once was and which laid the roots of today's world.
  • Free dinner.
  • Return to the village by own means and overnight.

Distances
Viale dei Romagnoli, 717 (Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica) - Via Flaminia Nuova, 821 (Village Flaminio): 50 km
